About Ind 13:

Indiana 13 pretty much connects a group of cities and areas in northern Indiana with Indianapolis via I-69 and Indiana 67. While bypassing Anderson and Marion (with connections via Indiana 37 and 15), it serves some good-sized population centers.

At one time it extended all the way to Michigan, sharing the last threee-qurarters of a mile with US 131. Sometime after 2000 it was "scaled back" to the Indiana Toll Road.

About Ind 13A:

Lake Wawasee causes Indiana 13 to swerve west, causing some interesting corrections upon meeting with US 6 and 33 over the years. One of these corrections, a route on the east side of Lake Wawasee, became known as Indiana 13A. Some roads today list the designation of Indiana 13 on the post, though the road has been long decommissioned.

This is the "Welcome to Indiana" signage about a quarter mile south of the state line. The present terminus of Indiana 13 is MAYBE a half mile down, you can sorta see a rise in the road where it goes over the Tollway.
