About Ind 227: | While this route could easily be the fourth stretch of Indiana 101 (or an extension of the middle portion), it actually works as a branch of US 27 north and south of Richmond (where US 27 bends eastward from its route). At one time this road ended in northern Richmond. When Indiana 21 was decommissioned Indiana 227 was extended south to its present endpoint. | |||
