About I-90: |
I-90 runs across exteme northern Indiana, staying within five miles of Michigan but never crossing into the state. It's toll the whole length, and is duplexed with I-80 for all but twenty-one miles. |

Western "Terminus": Illinois Line in Hammond/Old Roby. |
||||
Heading down the Chicago Skyway to where it changes into the Indiana Toll Road. I-90 goes from here for fifteen miles through Hammond, East Chicago and Gary before meeting up with Interstate 80. |
||||
The view looking up I-90 at the point where the Indiana Tollway becomes the Chicago Skyway. There is at present construction on the Skyway, so traffic is squeezed into one lane at this point. |
||||
Supposedly Chicago found out that the Chicago Skyway was never approved as I-90, and instead of asking AASHTO to approve the "I-90" designation they decided to change the signing. What wouldn't surprise me is that AASHTO would want them to get rid of the MacDonalds they have located in the middle of the "Toll Bridge" just southwest of the toll booths, and the City of Chicago doesn't want to get rid of a profitable McDonald's (and is too cheap to make the proper adjustments to the roadbed). |

Eastern Entrypoint: Ohio State Line near US 20. |

The view on I-90 and I-80 coming into Indiana from Ohio. The nearest interchange to here is with I-69, twelve miles away. |

The view on I-90 and I-80 entering into Ohio from Indiana. Both I-90 and I-80 duplex for the better part of Ohio before splitting southwest of Cleveland. I-90 goes on to Buffalo and Boston, with only a relatively small stretch (Cleveland to the Pennsylvania/New York Border) as toll-free interstate. |
